For me personally, it's not quite strong enough to have any effect. It's easily available over the counter at pharmacies and even supermarkets and is often on sale. Beginners can probably tolerate it if their skin is not too sensitive. This product is good for those who want a decent percentage of retinol in their product. I experienced no irritation but I am also an experienced retinol user. There is fragrance in the formula but it is very light and unobtrusive. I use it at night only as instructed, and have to wait about half an hour before I apply moisturiser on top. This is sold as an oil and it is a bit oily on my combination skin. ![]() The Ordinary's pure retinol (not their granactive retinoid products) formulas, on the other hand, have to be stored in the fridge and 3 months POA. This product has 12 months POA on the label. I decided to give this a go after learning that Neutrogena does stability testing and their retinol is slow release. Retinol is an ingredient that is prized for anti-aging but the difficulty is in formulation, as it is a very unstable ingredient that degrades quickly. This is an oil serum with with 0.3% pure retinol and Vitamin E, and comes in a bottle with a push button dropper.
